Informzaschita Enters the European Payment Card Security Market

Informzaschita, one of the leaders on the information security market, is authorized to conduct certification audits of banks and commercial organizations for their compliance with the PCI DSS standard in the European territory. The Company has previously conducted such audits only in the CEMEA region, in particular, in Russia and CIS.

Such audits confirm company compliance with the requirements of the payment card industry data security standard (PCI DSS). The standard is applicable to any parties transferring, processing and storing any cardholder details. Some enterprises including merchants and service providers operating with international payment systems must undergo such audits with the participation of a certified auditor on an annual basis. After the successful completion of a certification audit for compliance with the standard requirements, a company confirms its high level of its customers’ card data security due to reducing the risk of incidents related to information security.

Ivan Melekhin, Head of Informzaschita’s Consulting and Audit Department, says: “On the one part, new certification authorities enable us to render services to transnational companies whose computer centers are located beyond Russia. On the other part, we can now operate on the European information security market.  Thus, in addition to value-added services for our customers, we also minimize risks related to certain complicated issues of the operation of international payment systems in the Russian Federation.”
